Frequently Asked Questions
A:
"Rap Music" is an oxymoron.
Rappers may be highly entertaining; they may be wildly popular; they may even be incredibly talented. But then, all of these things can also be said about Robin Williams and Eddie Murphy. That doesn't make them musicians. Our view is similar to the way most sports fans view professional wrestling. They may enjoy it all right, but they don't generally grant it credibility as a sport. Call this a crusade if you like, but there's something to be said for not straying too far from a subject. If a couple of rappers happen to squeak by in other categories, so be it. But we're not going to go out of our way to create a special section. After all, what would our die-hard bagpipe fans think?
A: Ultimate Online Music is a collaborative effort between TC Concepts, various musical groups and artists, and visitors like yourself who have submitted information or even built specific websites featuring content of a musical nature. As you might imagine, the content of other pages is beyond our editorial control. Nevertheless, we strive to promote valid content and will certainly do what we can to achieve that goal. In connection, we will do what we can to minimize any offensive impact and, when necessary, we will remove a link. If you have a problem with the content on any particular page, or would just like to make a suggestion, please contact us here. Please be as specific as possible with regard to any comments, complaints or suggestions. We will review the situation promptly and get back to you with a decision as soon as possible.

There can be several possibilities for why a particular artist does not appear within the pages of Ultimate Online Music. First off, be sure to check the other genre pages on this site. Many music groups and individual recording artists have styles that crossover into other categories. It could be that the artist or group you're looking for is located on another page. If that turns out to be the case, and you think they should also be included in a different style, please let us know by email and we'll look into it.
That said, we will never have 100% coverage for every musical group and artist that exists. After all, new music groups spring up every day. However, if this is an artist you are particularly fond of, you may want to request addition to a particular category page list. Better yet, consider building a page yourself and taking advantage of our very affordable linking plans.
Finally, there can be other, proprietary reasons for a group or artist not appearing. Without giving away trade secrets, suffice it to say that we reserve the right to reject any group or artist, as well as any request for linking, advertising, affiliation, etc.
A:
Absolutely! In fact, you can even grab a graphic from our site, as long as it is used in conjunction with the link. The correct HTML for linking to Ultimate Online Music is:
<A HREF="http://www.ultmusic.com/index.htm" TARGET="_top">graphic or text</A>
Simply replace "graphic or text" with an image tag for the graphic you've selected or with actual text, such as "Click Here for the Ultimate Online Music Site!" (or something like that). You may also change the TARGET from "_top" to "new" if you don't want to totally lose your visitor. However, please don't omit the TARGET attribute completely. Since ours is a frames environment itself, it doesn't lay out well within a secondary frames environment.
A: Yes! In addition to the Classified Ads section (which must be music-related), you can also go here to find out about other advertising options that are available through Ultimate Online Music. Finally, if you would like to discuss a special arrangement or make a specific offer, you are quite welcome to contact us directly by dropping us a line by email.
